On September 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, in collaboration with NS BlueScope Vietnam, organized a technical workshop on Load Restraint Standards for Road Transport.
The event gathered representatives from the Traffic Police, local authorities, NS BlueScope Vietnam’s leadership team, and logistics and steel manufacturing companies in the Phu My Industrial Zone.
During the session, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bang, Vice President of Manufacturing at NS BlueScope Vietnam, presented the company’s international practices on steel coil load restraint, including demonstrations of 10-ton steel coil transport scenarios, friction coefficient testing, and load restraint system trials.
Delegates also visited BlueScope’s Phu My plant to observe the load restraint demonstration in practice. The workshop highlighted the importance of proper load restraint in ensuring transport safety and compliance, especially as new regulations impose stricter penalties for violations.
Authorities commended NS BlueScope Vietnam’s scientific and evidence-based approach, which contributes to improving technical standards and raising compliance awareness across the logistics industry — reflecting the company’s commitment to community safety and sustainability.
